Entitled “No Monkey Business – It’s jungle out there” and “For a Life Less ordinary”, the new eyewear and jewellery collections by the Swede Anna-Karin Karlsson were presented worldwide and first-hand in Olhar de Prata optics. Celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Grace Jones are some of the best-known fans of the designer. If you want to follow in their footsteps, there are 20 pieces from the new collection at the Avenida da Liberdade store in Lisbon, which can be purchased for between 500 and 1500€.

According to the opinion of Tiago Alves, CEO of Olhar de Prata, a space that distinguishes itself by selling trendy, avant-garde and luxury brands, the new collections of Anna-Karin Karlsson (AKK) are pure poetry, being the most sophisticated that the designer has created so far. With models for men and women, the Art Deco design meets Japanese artisanal details, such as the 24 K gold painted rims and the inlay of Akoya pearls, with all models having lenses with Zeiss quality.

For the first time in mainland Portugal (she had already been to Madeira once), Anna-Karin Karlsson shared with ÓpticaPro that the inspiration for these collections came from the uncharted world, but at the same time from a certain urbanity. “People always ask me who my collections are aimed at. They don’t have a sex, or age, it’s the heart that counts. It may be a shy or fearless woman, but above all my collections are for ordinary people, who want ordinary lives.
